Glow in the dark Pigment - budget - 1 KG
GLOW IN THE DARK PIGMENT - Budget - 1000 GRAM
We were able to purchase a large amount of pigment at a competitive price and we are happy to share that advantage with you. We only sell this pigment per kilo bags. But for the price that you can't even buy half of it elsewhere.
We have 3 colors, green, ocean blue and light blue.
Stock is limited and can no longer be ordered.
This pigment is of good quality and is an uncoated pigment.
Uncoated has the disadvantage that if you mix it in a binder, paint or epoxy you have to process it quickly.
Otherwise it will dissolve and the pigment will no longer work. But if you process it quickly and once it is dry, this pigment will continue to do its job well. So it mainly has an effect in processing.
Mix this pigment with a transparent binder or epoxy and make your own glow in the dark paint. Once the mixture is properly charged in daylight or artificial light, it will glow in a well dark room. With this you can make your own glow in the dark artwork.
Instructions
You get the best result when you mix 50 grams with 75 ml to 100 ml binder (recommended ratio is 1: 2)
After mixing, it is best to use the product immediately because the binder in wet form can affect the pigment. So only mix the amount that you are going to use immediately.
It is helpful to use a good UV flashlight when mixing to see it light up properly.
WORKING GLOW IN THE DARK
Another name for glow in the dark is Phosphorescence or fluorescence. Simply put, the product absorbs the light and releases it in the dark. This can be done with phosphorus, but also with newer chemical compounds. It must be very dark to get a good effect. If it is not dark enough, glow in the dark will not light up. The glow time depends on the workable substance in the material and on the amount of light stored by the product. This can take anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours.
